Diego Dead formed in January 2024, a collection of experienced musicians with the like minded goal of channeling the music of the Grateful Dead and doing our part to ensure the music never stops. Our catalog of tunes has grown to over 60 songs spanning the entire 30 years of the Dead’s output, and our playlist is ever expanding. We strive to recreate an authentic live Dead concert experience for our fans; not only the music, but also the environment. We will turn your venue into a psychedelic wonderland if you give us free reign, or we can stick to your script.

We can accommodate shows of any size, length, and for any space. We have a powerful modular PA system that we can use independently for any size venue, or connect to work in tandem with your house system. We strive for the highest quality sound, not ear-piercing volume; we have our own sound engineer at every show to ensure our live sound exceeds expectation. For outdoor events and festivals, we can supply our own power via solar powered batteries. We prefer to bring our own backline and have all the instruments and equipment needed to put on a great show.

Diego Dead has performed all over San Diego county, recently finding our niche in North County but we are always looking to expand our reach. In September of 2024, we headlined Friday night at the Great Deadful Festival in Banner Ranch, and on Saturday opened for some other killer local Grateful Dead tribute bands. We look forward to playing for you!
